Vision
To promote a world where nonviolence, justice, and peace characterize our relationships, communities, cultures, societies, and states.
Education forBuilding a global network and movement to bring about cultures of peace through peace education.
Education for Global Peace is building a global network and movement that seeks to bring about a world based on cultures of peace. Following the belief that the foundation of peacebuilding is peace education, EGP develops projects and strategies on peace education at different levels worldwide.
All human institutions and lifeways are learned, including cultural, structural, and direct violence. Peace and peacebuilding are also learned. That makes peace education foundational to a more peaceful future where global citizens share a planet in justice, equality, human security, and sustainable peace.
To promote a world where nonviolence, justice, and peace characterize our relationships, communities, cultures, societies, and states.
To foster a global transformation where peace education empowers children, youth, and adults to build peace around them.
Develop innovative pedagogy, advocate for peace education at institutional levels, and promote peace education research.
EGP was founded in 2013 by Gal Kleinman, the son of a Holocaust survivor. The organization grew from the conviction that the key to a peaceful world is educating for peace and connecting people from many walks of life who understand the local and global impact peace education can make.
From space, Earth has no borders: just a beautiful, fragile planet in the darkness of space. EGP seeks to foster the awareness that we are one human family connected to each other, nature, and the planet. Peace education must be integrated into education and brought to the forefront of research, curriculum, and human development.
